What You’ll Need: 7qt Roasting Pan
- 1-2 lbs ground sausage (sweet Italian or sage)
- 1 lrg head of cabbage
- 1-2 sweet onions
- 6-8 large potatoes
- 2 boxes of Chicken broth (can use Better than Bouillon instead)
- 8 oz sour cream
Chili or cayenne powder
Grated cheese (Parmesan, Irish Cheddar or Sharp Cheddar)
Using 7qt pot, place sausage, then coarsely chopped onion & cabbage into pot, cover and turn to Med heat. When the cabbage reduces down a bit add cubed potato and replace cover cooking on Med or Low for 15-20 min. Once potatoes are soft add broth and sour cream, simmering for 10 more minutes then season to taste.
Best served with bread to use for dipping into soup.
